Time with Family in Iowa

Though going to Iowa for Grandpas funeral was an extremely sad event, it was, as always, amazing to see our family. This was Augusts first trip to Iowa since being born and he finally got to meet the incredible family he has there!

The beginning of May brought with it the passing of Grandpa McKinley. He was an amazing man who loved his God, his Family and his Country. Words can not describe how much he is missed!

Easter!

We had a wonderful easter going to church and spending time with family and friends! Here are a few pics of the little dude on his first easter...

March

March was an amazing month for us...

Andy got a new amazing job and is loving the nicer weather for fishing, skate boarding, biking etc

I am now getting to stay home with August more which is where I am supposed to be. Plus I am getting to do more in the birthing community here. Words can not express how blessed I feel! And on top of all that Andy and I are getting to have more date nights!

Here we are going out to see our friend Thomas play and to go to an art show opening!

August is doing great-growing up so fast! He cut his first tooth, learned how to wave and is loving life!

We went to the Pregnancy Center's fundraiser which was western theme so August dressed the part.

We also finally took August swimming!

He loved it!

Lastly, here he is brushing his tooth! Good dental hygiene starts early.

August is 6 months old!!!

Our little man only turns 6 months once :) so we took a trip to visit Family and Friends!!!

We went to Co Springs to spend some time with Bob and Sue. While there we visited a number of places including The Olympics Training Center & Focus on the Family

We also finally had a chance to visit Verde Farms and see a bunch of our good friends!

We all just partied- ate lots of food- drank some latte stout- and had an amazing time

as an added bonus we got to meet Huck for the first time and I (Ashley) got to see Missy!

We also got to spend some time with Rocky and Jill- which, of course, was great.

Oh and we ate a lot of chipotle. duh.

Here August is saying goodbye to his grandparents. He is loved!

Overall we had a blast playing tourist, seeing our friends, and celebrating 6 months of August blessing our lives.

Side Note: While in Co Springs Andy got a phone call with a job offer at Mercury. Needless to say, God answered our many prayers! This means mama gets to stay home more!!!! woo hoo!!!

February

The month of February held a new sense of independence for August..

He perfected his rolling over skills- able now to go front to back and back to front.

He discovered he could sit up on his own

He got to taste a number of new foods

He realized he could stand on his own when holding on to things

and he does not want us holding his bottle for him any more- he has got it.
